CrimeReports.com

This website allows crime mapping with user-defined selections: shown here is 30 days' activity in East Price Hill:

Using these selections:

We see this as a powerful tool to aid Neighborhood Management through Mapping and a complement to statistics available from the Cincinnati Police Department.

Net: 2009 Calls for Service in East Price Hill were 40% lower than 2008, double the reduction in District 3 generally!

East Price Hill Neighborhood Business District Streetscape Phase II

Phase II of our NBD's Streetscape is underway! The City is replacing the water main from Saint Lawrence Corner to Five Points (intersection of Glenway & Warsaw @ Seton & Quebec), and will improve the north side of Warsaw Avenue from McPherson west to Saint Lawrence, and from Saint Lawrence west on Saint Lawrence.

This will include Street Habilitation of Warsaw Avenue from McPherson to Glenway (including concrete bus stops to reduce the asphalt rutting we see), and "All streets in East Price Hill will be evaluated in 2011 for possible inclusion in the 2012 Street Rehabilitation Program."

We're excited!

Back from the Holidays!

Happy New Year to all! Lots of catching up to do so here we go:

ZONING: the Department of Planning is having a hearing January 28 @ 5PM in the Griesel Conference Room, 7th Floor, Two Centennial Plaza, 805 Central Avenue to consider "INCLUDING BICYCLE PARKING IN THE ZONING CODE."

The purpose of the meeting is to gather public comment to be used in staff's recommendation to the City Planning Commission and City Council.

The reason for the Zoning Code Amendment is to address a specific type of parking space. "Bicycle Parking" requirements are being added to Chapter 1425- Parking and Loading Regulations in order to provide secure and weather-protected facilities to accommodate bicycle parking.

If you can't attend you are invited to call or email Mr. Phil Johnson @ 352-4843.
